Bricks, bricks, bricks

Day 14

Today we started off again with breakfast at the ridiculously early time of 7:00am, however the taste of proper pancakes made it all worth it!

After food we set off just up the hill to partake in the regular brick making competition here. The record was set at 124 bricks for 12 people, so being a larger group we had to make at least 280, and if we did then the camp manager would jump in the lake.

Sadly we didn’t quite reach that total, but our 200-odd was deserving enough of the fabulous rice dish we had for lunch, and the stew for dinner, both delicious. We also collected our volley ball prize of Panatoni, which we must thank the team for.

We’re currently enjoying our leavers bonfire, and are sad to be leaving these wonderful views of Lake Titicaca, but are excited to get to our next camp.

We can’t believe you’re half way through the trip already. Sounds like you’re having a fun time, as well as working hard. We can’t wait to hear all about it when you get home Jac. [edit (full msg. sent to Peru)]
